WELCOME TO CHRISTMAS AT THE EVERGREENS!
Our festive program and menus…
Little Red Riding Hood, Wednesday, December 5th, 2.45pm
This is definitely an occasion for everyone to take part, so make sure you are in good voice and please join us for the show and for tea and Stollen cake afterwards. That’s if you’re not too alarmed by the Big Bad Wolf.
Resident’s Party, Wednesday, December 12th, 6-8pm
Wednesday 12th December, between 6 and 8pm will see us hosting an informal Christmas Party with drinks and a light buffet; a warm invitation to the Residents and their families and friends and an opportunity to share a little of the festive spirit and exchange the season’s greetings. We look forward to seeing as many of you as possible and hope you will be able to join us.
Resident’s Christmas Lights Trip, Saturday, December 15th
Continuing to “get in the mood”, we are planning our annual outing to see the Christmas lights and decorations in both Bournemouth and Westbourne. We expect to leave The Evergreens at around 2.45pm in the minibuses. The tour will take about an hour, finishing at The Haven Hotel to see the lights come on across the water and the sandbanks ferry dressed overall as she makes her way back and forth across the harbour’s entrance. We will be served glasses of mulled wine and sausage rolls before making our way back home for sherry, a warm supper and mince pies.
Old Mother Goose, Monday, December 17th, 6pm
On December 17th more musical entertainment. Members of The Eva Long theatre group are visiting us at 6pm to put on their production of Old Mother Goose. Perhaps one of the oldest pantomime stories dating back to the Greek legend of a goose who laid golden eggs we can promise an egg-citing evening with songs to sing-along with, a lovely set and sparkling costumes , a true Christmas egg-travagnza!
Christmas and New Year will be celebrated at the Home with many other themed activities, a special Christmas Holy Communion, Carol singers, and of course beautiful decorations. The Menus are available online here and will be in the Entrance hall shortly, and the days of Christmas will be celebrated in a traditional family atmosphere, we do after all like to think of ourselves as one big family here at The Evergreens. Please join us at any time, thank you for your support during the year and the warmest of seasonal good wishes to you all.
