A fond farewell to a great carer!

Thursday 23rd May, at 2.30pm

At the end of May we say goodbye to one of the care team who has been at The Evergreens an unprecedented 34 years and even named the home! We will be having a small celebration on Thursday 23rd May, at 2.30pm to mark this extraordinary achievement and say our formal goodbyes, so if any of you who know Wendy would like to join us, you are most welcome.

Apart from her dedicated care work, Wendy has also been the mainstay of our ecumenical practice, organising religious services with the Reverend Phyllis from neighbouring St. John’s church in Talbot Village, the monthly Holy Communion, special services at Easter, Christmas and All Souls. She has always been on hand for our residents to offer support and good counsel throughout the home.

We know it has been a difficult decision to decide to retire, but we want to thank her for being with us for so long and wish her health and happiness for the future to enjoy her time to relax and enjoy her family and friends. Thank you Wendy.
