Dining

We believe that one of the most important aspects of care is the catering and here at The Evergreens we place great importance on the quality and variety of the food we serve. Using fresh and seasonal produce, high quality suppliers and innovative menus promoting ‘healthy choice’ eating we hope to tempt those whose appetite is no longer what it was and satisfy those who still relish delicious home cooking.

Our Care Director, Leye Harper is passionate about food and has created a superb six week menu which is changed regularly to incorporate seasonal produce and has been specially designed to be nutritionally beneficial for our residents. With the help of Noel, our qualified head chef, we’re proud to say that our food has always been a highlight for our residents.

We take pleasure in marking all special events at Easter, Christmas and New Year. The summer Garden Party is a regular and much enjoyed event and throughout the year other social occasions appear regularly to enable us all to have the opportunity to meet and enjoy time together. Resident’s own personal anniversaries are also catered for in the house and relatives and friends are encouraged to join in if they so wish.

Breakfast is served in room at the time of your choice, preceded by an early cup of tea or coffee if desired. Lunch and supper are served in the Dining Room or conservatory, morning coffee and afternoon tea with homemade cakes are usually taken in the Sitting Room and hot and cold beverages, snacks and sandwiches are available at all times.

We cater for individual’s specific dietary requirements, diabetic, low fat, high calorie etc. and also offer a choice to our main Menu.
