Activities boost wellness and mental health!

Lockdown has been a particularly difficult period for residents of Care Homes across the country, so here at The Evergreens, we've been doing what we can to minimise the impact of the pandemic. External activities had to stop earlier this year, so we put our efforts in to in-house activities and companionship, by appointing a full-time Activities Co-ordinator. Janet Southwood has taken on the role and provided an amazing lift for our residents combining activities to entertain, enhance welfare, improve dexterity and offer a sense of achievement. Janet works 5 days per week and runs a tailored programme of activities based on personal preferences and individual abilities, through group and one to one sessions. She's been a real hit and the residents often say they miss her on her days off!
